Anyone know the shelf-life of CGD once it is opened?   I'm thinking of buying the larger container, and I'm curious how long it will keep before I buy.  I could ask the company, but I figured I would get more accurate data from you guys.

P.S.  I live in N. Atlanta, very humid at times, if that makes a difference.

I believe i read on Allens forums a long time ago that he said you can go past the expiration date on the bottle.? I had GGD one time and only one baby gargoyle, I sold the garg and got another one later. I used the same bottle for over a year and it looked fine and no problems out of the gecko.

I'm too lazy to go look at my large bottle right now for an expiration date, but I suggest putting it in the refrigerator. The expiration date is a "shelf life" calculation. Putting the bottle in the refrigerator should extend the expiration date considerably. Also, in order to avoid constant opening and closing of the large jar, I refill one of the small bottles from the large. That way I only have to open the large jar every week or two.

It lasts a long time...especially if kept refrigerated.
