She's not the best looking out of my group but she was my first crested and my best breeder.  When she retires as a breeder she's going to get a nice naturalistic aquarium all by herself.

Thanks, she's just paired up with my creamsicle today.  I dont expect anything great from her but she does always produce nicely colored flames and sometimes harleys,  with partial pinstripes.  Maybe the creamsicle will add a little more color to the babies, who knows

good looking girl.  What does she weigh? She looks to be the size of an unknown aged girl I'm thinking of introducing to one of my males.  Just curious.

Right now shes 34 grams.  On the pic she was around 31, she just laid 5 clutches at that time and wasnt eating much so I had to get her weight back up some. She's around 2 1/2-3 years old now.

You can find them cheap at ebay under digital kitchen, jewelry scales or any other digital scales that weigh in grams.? ? Also bed bath & beyond, walmart but they're way more expensive and you're getting almost the same thing.

I posted this somewhere else, but digiweigh 200g jewelry scale is what I finally got from ebay.  Great scale and very accurate.  Its a pocket scale, so it looks small, but I put a gladware container on the weigh platform and it works fine.

Just curious if someone knows if it's possible to find a digital scale that can weigh a gecko yet also be accurate in milligrams. I haven't done a whole lot of digging yet but I'm needing a mg scale to weigh out medication for my fish.

hmmmm, might be able to find one, im sure someone makes it, if not youll just have to buy 2 different ones

or if you have a calculator just convert one measurement to the other

ps, is the meds for the discus in your avatar? do you breed discus? got any pics?

Yes the meds are for the discus, though not the ones pictured. I'm ATTEMPTING to breed them with little (no) success. I can scrounge up a few pictures a little later if you'd like. I'll start a different thread for that instead of hijacking this one

You'll pay quite a bit more for a milligram balance, but they do sell them. My milligram balance has .01g sensitivity and also weighs up to a max of 200g. It's the same kind used in my science labs at school. I believe it cost a bit over $200... not sure if there are cheaper ones on eBay with that kind of accuracy.

That's kind of what I was afraid of, all the medication is specified in mg/10gal, they give you a rough equivelent in teaspoons but there are a number of factors that will make that very inaccurate. Thanks sci, I'll keep my eyes open but I'm sure it won't be cheap.

My first scale weighed in mg and g.  I got it from either Reptile Deopt or LLLreptile.  I think it was $65 after shipping.
