Hello all,

I'm just getting into cresteds. To be perfectly honest, i always thought lizards were boring, yes,  was always into snakes.
But ever sense i discovered cresteds (about a year ago), i'm hooked.  I have a female yellow/gold tiger and my oldest daughter has a nice dark orange harley.  I'm hoping to start a small breeding project with the main idea to produce large head/crest structure, to me that just makes the gecko. By the way, i'm looking for a "different" male to complete my first trio, preferably a red or orange harley. Don't have much time now, will post later( and hopefuly get some pics up).

Later,
Mark

Welcome Mark! I'm glad to see that people are focusing on structural traits. Being an (attempted) fish breeder I can see the value in breeding for physical traits as well as color/morph. And I am in the same rare boat as you, actually looking for a male crested gecko  Wink

definately, one of the things that the rhac encyclopedia brings up is the lack of crests in many breeders projects due to only focusing on color and pattern. i never thought about that untill i read it, but i think that "crowned" cresteds are awesome. i'm going to go start a post about crowned geckos so if anyone has a pic of one to post please do, i'll put it in eye candy.

To tell the truth, I was mainly into snakes too at first.  But now the crested collection just keeps getting bigger and bigger!
