So kaiden used to be a nice healthy 37 grams. for a few months he would fluctuate between 35-37 grams. Then after he mated with Lacey twice I put him in his own cage setup, first time since we got him that he was on his own. That was in august. Since then he has slowly but steadily losing weight. as of tonight he weighs 33.4 grams. This really worries me.

He has been eating fine, i find poo quite often. Hes shedding fine, moisture levels are fine. Hes actually been kinda spazzy the past couple of months also.

Being 1am I cant call the vet for another several hours. In the meantime what do you think it could be?

More than likely, it's just the winter wind-down.  Lots of my geckos don't eat as well/as much as they do the rest of the year.

If you plan to take him to the vet, try to get a fresh poop and toss it in the fridge until you go, so it can be tested for parasites.  It IS a possibility, but I doubt it, if he's been fine so far, and the female isn't losing weight, too.

ok that makes me feel better. I didnt know what was going on. none of the other geckos have been losing like that, but if its normal for them to lose weight during the winter i will just wait and see how his temperment is. Hes been super spazzed out crazy, not at all lethargic. So if that changes ill know something is up.

The males in my collection begin to lose weight and sit in the mid 30 range. It's common. Your gecko just has more than food on his mind now. During the winter months I bump the cricket feeding up to twice a week to get the males and females plump. Hope this helps.
