Has anyone noticed their gecko having a different temperment after laying eggs? Lacey used to be kinda a bee-yotch before, and now that she had 2 clutches of eggs she is really sweet and calm and enjoys being handled more. She used to be kinda jumpy and you could tell she only tolerated being held. Now shes super nice.

On the flip side Kaiden used to be really calm, and now that he has procreated it seems he is more jumpy, like he cant wait til he can "do it" again.

Has anyone else noticed a change like this after geckos lose the V-Card?

Yeah-some of the boys seem to go into reproductive over-drive.

We have several that will stalk us when we go into their enclosures to clean and feed.

So will go as far as grabbing, hanging on, and humping.

The girls seem to mellow out a bit, in contrast.

Im glad the girls mellow out, I like Lacey a lot more now that she doesnt snap at me so much
