Some of my kids as of late. I used BRIGHT lights so they look extra vibrant, lol they're beautiful in person regardless.

The red blusher is covered in red dalmatian spots, I'd love to find someone to breed her to, just don't know who would make good babies with her...

The pinstripe is my pride & joy at the moment, though my favorite gecko is still the first one I ever bought ;)

The orange/cream/yellow babies are just some of my recent hatchlings.
What do you guys think? If I sell my hatchlings to a pet store I can get 25/30 dollars a piece, would they be worth more selling online instead? Even with shipping costs?

WOW!!  Long time, no see!!

Welcome back home, hon!!

Your little ones are beautiful!!

I wouldn't bother with local sales. I'd go straight for the Pangea and FaunaClassifieds forums!!

You'll make a LOT more money there-even with shipping!

And if you don't mind black spots, I may have just the male for your little dal girl!!  Berto is one sexy hunk of male gecko flesh!!

Before you deal with any pet store i would make sure they are willing to feed them a proper diet of CGD. There is a pet store near me that offered to sell babies for me, but they only feed cricket, nothing else.

Donna are you pimpin' out Berto? lol

I know it's been forever--I had a human baby so Ive been busy for a while =)
Thank you for the compliments, do you have any pics of your boy? Do you think breeding the two would make red and black dali spots together?
I'd love to make more than $25 off of the geckos I work so hard to make, but I think I just don't know what I'm doing when it comes to pricing them. I'm intimidated by the classifieds. Y'all know WAY more than me! haha

Congrats on your little one!!  But you know the rule-if you don't post pictures, it didn't happen!!

I'm a GRANDMA!!!  Pics posted here someplace... Roll Eyes  My grand-baby, Sofia, was born on Memorial Day!!

Compare your kids to others on the Pangea forum, and set the prices from there!!  I have yet to sell on-line myself.  Just one show two years ago...lost all last year's eggs due to heat issues, but I have 20-some babies ready for the spring show here in Buffalo, so I'm back and ready to vend!!  We would have more, but most of our ladies were first year breeders this year, and several of the males were virgins, too, so we had a lot of duds.

But next year should be EPIC for us!!

Berto...not pimping him out, but I wouldn't mind taking in a girl or two for him to share his awesomeness with!!  I believe they would both pass their different colored spots to the babies.  I think this was the start of the Mardi Gras crestie.

If you take a close look at the head shot, you'll see that he's also "peppered".  That's the tiny rust spots between the dal ink spots.  It's described in the Rhac Bible.

I brightened the crap out of this picture so you could see her red spotting, because her pics don't do her justice...

and I know I probably shouldn't be posting it here, but this is Mr. Logan =)
he already LOVES watching the cresties. one day they'll all be his Wink

& Where can I get this "Rhac Bible"? I'd love to know everything there is to know about cresties !! =)

OMG!!!  Mr. Logan is ADORABLE!!  I'm pretty sure his picture is safe here.  I highly doubt that the creeps of the world will come to a herp site looking for pictures of little kids.

I'd be more concerned if this were a pageant site.

The Rhac Bible-Rhacodactylus: The Complete Guide to their Selection and Care-by Philippe De Vosjoli, Allen Repashy, and Frank Fast-out of print, but still available on Amazon-http://www.amazon.com/Rhacodactylus-Complete-Guide-their-Selection/dp/0974297100/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1316890092&sr=1-1 at ridiculously inflated prices.  Many copies were autographed by all 3 authors.  In fact, they were being sold at one time on Anthony's store site-ACReptiles for I believe $35.  But they are long gone.

Check E-bay.  If you find a copy for under $50, you've got a great deal!

Also, look at used book stores.  You never know what you'll find.

This is the most concise book available on all Rhac species-and written by the pros who worked to bring them to the gecko-loving public.  There has been talk about it going to re-print, but as separate books devoted to each species.  So if you want the whole original book, you would have to find an original copy or buy a new book on each species.

Last year, I sold the extra copy I had been sent to one of our members here.
