Today I had a baby gecko hatch in my hand Grin

This egg had been leaking pretty severely a couple days and today a different egg had hatch so when i pulled that babu out i noticed some white egg goo on the leaking egg again and was like dangit, pretty sure I was just ganna cut it open. So anyway I pick up the egg and start moving the white goo outta the way to see if there really was a crack that was leaking. And I felt something move inside the egg then another part started leaking. Another big movement and a huge tear appeared and leaked a LOT more. Then finally one last BIG move and another huge tear appeared along with a baby poking its head out and quickly scampering out. This all happened within a matter maybe a minute. OMG it was incredible I nearly teared up haha. The baby is beautiful, too. Looks like a red flame or harly. It was also odd that the both babies born today werent even from the same clutch. And the first baby that I found already hatched, it's clutchmate is leaking. WHAT AN EXCITING DAY!!! Grin

thats awesome! id love it if that happens with my egg. BTW, no to jack your post but is it possible to candle an egg and see the growing gecko inside?

also my egg has gotten a tiny bit bigger since it was laid 26 days ago

Take the egg and a VERY bright penlight/flash light/or laser cat-toy type light into a darkroom with your eggs. Lay the egg on the lens and turn it on.

I use the cat-toy type laser light, since the eggs can sit right on the tiny lens and get the full effect of the light.
