finally started getting some babies this year! after a 101 day incubation all 4 of these guys hatched within 1 hour of eachother last night.  heres a few quick pics of the new ones.

GS02-11 (gatsbyXscarlet) probably gonna be a hold back, its be best hatchling so far! the pics dont do justice, this ones gonna be extremem i think!

thanks. I had told myself that i wasnt going to keep any hatchlings this season unless they were something pretty special but i think thats out the window at this point  Undecided

im not sure what my secret is haha, i put them in a 16oz container filled 1/2 way with super hatch and put them on a shelf. the temps go anywhere from 67-74*f.  i always just try to keep all my eggs on the cooler/ drier end of the spectrum when incubating. so far its worked out pretty well for me.

Well, the way the summers have been in Buffalo, I'm starting to wonder if I should breed in the fall and cool in the winter.

At least that way, I'd have better control over my temps!

Yeah-but I'd be concerned that trying to duplicate the lighting/heat/day length might mess them up.

Plus, I'd have to try to cool them NOW, and hope they stop laying, or I'd have to wait till next fall.

Too bad there's not some way to put the laid eggs from this season into some kind of stasis/suspended animation state until Oct. or so, and let them hatch over the winter.

Okay-enough of that...too much Sci-Fi... Tongue
