Nice. Definitely one of the few monitors I've seen that usually have good personalities. Hope he's dog tame and gets huge:)

Yeah I'm kinda confused about housing and taming though cause I've heard a lot of different perspectives. But I figured I have a while to figure it out he's the smallest of the small haha  Tongue

What a little cutie!!

Too bad they don't stay that size!!

Or maybe it's a GOOD thing that they grow, 'cuz I'd be tempted to get one!!

I know they're precisous as babies, but actually about a year ago when i first started going to reptile shows I saw a larger (probably like teenager) one and couldn't get over how big and intelligent they looked.
I mean I swear they look you right in the eyes!  Tongue

I keep threatening to get one. They make great garbage cans for the uneaten F/T rodents etc.

My friend has 2 full-grown ones.  Well, one is her son's, and one is hers.  She's had them both since they were hatchlings.  Wolfgang (her's) is super mellow and will eat nicely out of your hand or from a dish.  Sally however, is totally crazy and aggressive.  Both were raised in the same environment, but wolfgang mellowed out and sally hasn't. They are both about 3 or 4 years old now.  Wolfgang comes out of his tank (a 200g+) and roam the house paying no attention to the other animals (always supervised tho).  Sally tries to eat you thru the glass if you even walk into the room.

I hope yours turns out well.  I really want one, but will have to wait till I open my facilityto be able to have the space for it.  Keep us updated on your new little one!
