Hi everyone,

I'm about to become the proud owner of a pair of cresties and have been searching through the forums etc for advice and what not. I am setting up a natural terrarium and have been trying to find some good information about the best plants to keep. I wanted to just say hi and saw that this is a very active forum, which I must say is great, especially seeing all the amazing morphs. So right off the bat, are there any plants you would recommend (or ones to absolutely avoid)? Sorry if this is a dull subject that has been covered well already!! I look forward to getting more involved in the discussions too.

Welcome!!

The plants I use most are various Sanseveria and Hoya sp. "Hindu Rope".

I no longer use planted tanks, because I breed my geckos, and the soil makes it darned near impossible to find eggs, even if you give the female a lay-box.

For a very good list of plants, check this page-

Pangea is also another VERY GOOD forum!!

Wow, thanks for that link, seems a lot of choice! I'll be sure to check out that forum too, the more information the better!

Thanks again,

Mike

I now have my two new cresties (as of 3 days ago), I will leave them alone for a little while, but I took a picture of them in the carry box, which although looks bad, at least it's a start. Meet Tara (female on the right) and Terje (male, left). I'll put some more pics up after they have settled in.
