Did all my bins today. Is it weird that I look forward to it all week? Anyone else actually enjoy cleaning out their tanks? Smiley

uhh right there with you...when its bin cleaning say i give myself a couple hours to spend individual time with every single gecko...holding, touching, weighing, calling the babies girls so that maybe they will grow up to actually be girls, thinking of clever greek names that they might get once full grown, touching there tummies for eggs, telling them to get pregnant, and mostly just never ending looking about ALWAYS being impressed by how amazing these little guys are and just how neat they look.

And they look back at us with that look of reptilian entitlement..."Of course we're AMAZING!  We're GECKOS!"   Roll Eyes

Haha I hope I don't jinx it, I see it as a kind of encouragement =]
And of course they know they're incredible, I feel like all reptiles do!

I keep going into my office and staring at the leachianus and thinking, how awesome. Wanted one since I saw a picture of them years and years ago as a kid.

I enjoy cleaning the hatchling racks. I wake them up, handle them for a bit, looking them over and then by the time I make it to the end of the rack each one is fired up and checking out their freshly done up Kritter Keeper. The breeder bins are saved for last and I do just about the same thing with them but hold out on checking for eggs on cleaning day until I go through each individual bin. More fun that way Cheesy

the looks comment reminded me of what one of ours did last night.

We had been out of town for a few days, and when we got back i gave everybody a fresh bowl of CGD. Well my little Liara proceeds to go down and pig out. Me and my husband watched and laughed as she just ate and ate. As soon as she gets done eating she sits on a rock and stares at us for a good 10 min, wondering why we stared at her!
