so over night 4 of my cages got swarmed by black ants.... all the geckos are fine but i was wondering if there are any "organic" or natural pesticeds for ants that wouldnt harm a gecko? as it sits I am going to have to totally clean and re-do their cages. thanks!

awsome, thanks for the links!

looks like a good borax/ baby powder dusting is in order untill i can get some of that animal safe TERRO ant killer mentioned in one of the posts.

yeah, i had a bit of a panic attack untill i saw that they hadnt bothered the geckos yet. (luckily they were my adult cages, not my hatchlings) so far i have all the geckos in separate (any free) containers and I am cleaning all the cage furniture piece by piece. I am just glad i noticed it when i did.

well, its been a few days and i am still ant free. so far the baby powder seems to be working, I havent seen a single ant in 2 days now *knock on wood*

thanks again everyone for the advice and pointers, it was definetly my most stressfull moment of 2011... so far haha
