I noticed my BP has something going on with his left eye-I've seen it before, and after a shed, he was back to looking normal. This time he's shed twice and there has been no change. It doesn't look like an eye cap, as it is only the front and back edges of his eye that appear to be affected.

I know NOTHING about pythons, but what I see is comparable to the nictitating membrane on other animals.

I'd suggest that you check with the python boards on FaunaClassifieds.com.  I know a lot of the BP people there, and they're very helpful and caring.

You could also google some BP forums and check with them.

I'm not brushing you off, I'm just clueless, and don't want to give you bad info if it's a problem that needs immediate attention!

Also not a python person but thought I'd chime in and say that I'm pretty sure snakes have no form of eyelid whatsoever, although I admit it'd be pretty cool if they had nictitating membranes. Could it be some kind of infection? It almost looks the tissue around the brille is swollen or something.

I'm not too versed on health issues in pythons (yet), but I might suggest a vet visit for that.  It looks like either swelling of the tissue around the eye, or a problem with the shed?
