As many of you know, we've had a lot of spammer problems in the past few years.
Back in mid-December, I approached a number of long-time members, and asked each of them to help me get rid of the spammers and revive the forums.
WOW!! Did I get fast replies!!
When I had a list of eager volunteers, I approached Anthony, and told him the we didn't want to lose our Crested Home, and we'd like the chance to clean it all up and monitor the forums.
He was very happy the know that someone still cared about the site, the information accumulated here, and the people who've become part of our extended family.
He was actually thinking of closing the forums this spring!!
To that end, he installed me as Queen Momma Mod (since I'm an old bag/Geriatric Gecko
), and gave modding rights to my team of volunteers.

I'd like to thank each of you for all the work you've put into this place in the past few months!
It just goes to show what a dedicated army of friends can do when we set our minds to a common cause!
I love you guys!! (And the girls, too!) (NO-not THAT way...)
We also have a web-designer friend who pops in now and then, and was instrumental in the cleanup.
He checked the site, and made a list of the members who had links to offensive sites linked to their accounts. Everything from steroids, to sex websites, to you name it.
His screen name is Auntie Nick. You may also know him as Polasian from the FaunacClassifieds forums where he's a mod.
He's like a son to me.
We couldn't have cleaned up as quickly or as completely without him!!
An extra special Thank You goes out to him. He doesn't even own any Rhacs, and he came here as a favor to me. (I'm working on getting him into cresties, so hopefully, he'll be spending more time as a regular member.)
We're not only here to keep spammer scum out, we're here to welcome new members, and answer questions.
We've put a great deal of energy and many hours into cleaning the place up! There were times when I went to bed as the sun was rising, just to save this place!
