Hey Guys, Name is Silas and I just got my new Crested from Anthony today!!! These guys are amazing. I have owned cresteds, leachies, and gargoyles in the past, but I have to say Hands Down these are the hottest cresteds I have yet to keep!!

I have owned other geckos (several Uroplatus species as well as Leopards) and use to run a site years ago called Gecko Island. I have wrote several pages on keeping Uroplatus in the past and hope to get my hands on some rare Uroplatus again someday!.

Now for the photos. These are a couple of females I ordered and I don't have any photos of the male just yet, but soon! These images where taken with a Nikon D200, ISO100, 50mm lens with a couple of extension tubes for macro. Click the photos to see the full size (hi res photos so be patient!)

I vaguely remember seeing your name...somewhere...here, Pangea, Repashy, Geckosunlimited??

You got some really pretty girls, there!!!  I can wait to see the guy!!

Gecko Island was my baby, and a pretty good size site. I have been on Kingsnake.com back in the day when it was one of the few sites, and the largest during that time. I help a friend start ReptileRooms.com but then lost intrest. I have a care paper I wrote on the Uroplatus henkeli, if you google me and uroplatus, you will find it Smiley

Smiley  Yeah... Nikon D200 dSLR. The ladder photos where with the 18-70mm lens. I mainly got into photography just to take photos of reptiles, and it grew from there.

I am a Nikon freak so I stick with that. My wife has a Nikon Coolpix S8000. This is a great point and shoot.

I hate to say it but, when i saw them on the site i wasnt too impressed (dont get me wrong, they were great looking cresties, but i wasnt drooling on my keyboard or anything haha), but seeing them here...wow! they really are awsome looking Grin  *cleans drool from keyboard*

My mom is a moron.

I had the camera on the kitchen counter right by the back door, and she wanted to nuke something, so she put the camera on top of the microwave and put the food in and turned the microwave on.

The damned thing fried/degaussed the image sensor, and it would cost me more to fix the camera that the camera cost in the first place.

She said if my stuff is that fragile, I shouldn't have had it at her house.

Every so often, she'll say "Go get your camera and get a shot of this."

I just tell her I will when she replaces it.

Never thought that a Microwave could do that... that sucks. decent cameras are cheap these day, and the one we got also does HD video, so they have come along ways now.

Thanks!!!  They are doing great after a little over 1 week in my possession. Gaining weight... spending the nights exploring the cages...  seem to take to the new settings well!

Wow I love those close up pics! I need a new camera too. mine has some issue going on and it will drain a battery in just a few hours. it sucks.
