Day 75.... Come on already

My first good eggs have made it to day 75.
The still look awesome and are looking very good when candled.
My eggs are incubated around 70-72 due to it being summer and the Ac running. So I am pretty sure they are going to take a bit longer. I am so waiting to open the bathroom closet door and see some sweating going on.
The wait it driving me nuts.
It being incubated at those temps going to harm them ?

nope, it shouldnt harm them at all. if anything the longer incubation period usually produces slightly bigger, healthier babies from what ive read/ experienced.
some people are looking into a correlation between a longer incubation period and better crest structure too. so far it seems that eggs incubated in the low 70s are ideal. anything below the 70s and the incuation period will get alot longer and the hatchligs wont be much (if any) bigger than the ones incubated in the low 70s.
at least thats what someone else has noticed when they were looking into this( i belive they incubated 50 eggs at ~67-69*, 50 eggs at ~70-74* and ~50 eggs at 75-80*)

Thank you very much.
I will patiently wait it out. Day, after day, after long long day.

Most of mine hatch at day 70 to 75 with or without incubation.

ive only had 2 hatch so far this year but with temps fluctuating from ~68*f - ~73* they hatched at 85 and 86 days.
I had marked the"due date" on the calendar when they were laid and had guessed it would be a 90 day incubation period, i was surprised and kinda stoked that i guessed it that close

Day number 77..... Still waiting :-)
I have 4 more clutches after this one laid about 15-35 days apart ( 3 different gecko groups) I am so excited to see the little ones.
Is it ok to raise then in 10 gals or should I start smaller? I have read different things. Some say smaller, some say 10 gals are fine. Just looking for more opinions.

10s are fine if they can find the food, but most people here use smaller critter keepers. I wouldn't put mine in a ten gal until they got to be like 6 months old/6 or 7 grams.

Day 78.
I did pick up some of the medium sized critter ceeper yesterday just to be on the safe side.
Now I am kicking myself for getting rid of all my 5 1/2 gal tanks.

Day number 79.
I candled the eggs last night and they move when you candle them. You can see little legs moving all over the place.
Hopefully not to much longer

I like keeping them individually in 6 quart Sterilite tubs. They keep in humidity better, which is important as I live in a very dry place. I also really hate the lids on KKs. The issue with larger size tanks for hatchlings is debatable, so do what works for you.

DAy 83.
What size steralites? I have so many of those laying around because of the frogs. I can and will happily use them if I can.

6qt for hatchlings & juves up to 8 grams. 16qt for up to 20 grams. 66qt for breeding trios with a wire shelf to maximize the space.
