I've got one of both and I prefer the exoterra.  I will admit the I got the zoo med a lot cheaper but it had some sharp wires poking out of the screen top and the cardboard display inside was glued to the back wall which was a pain to get the adhesive off the glass. I dunno, I might just have had bad luck with it, and both geckos seem to like their enclosures regardless of brand.  I probably will still buy another zoo med considering that with my employee discount it costs about half of what the same size exoterra costs.
