alright so this new female i got is acting very lethargic. She shed last night (first night I had her) and did fine all by herself.
She's 2-3 years old.
Problem one-She's got a lot of extra folds of skin...like she's chubby.
Problem two-The base of her tail is curved to one side...Floppy tail maybe?
Problem three-She's now acting very lethargic, not wanting to eat, move, or even pick up her feet.
Help?
Problem one
Problem two
Problem three

She does look a little chubby, and her the base of her tail does look like FTS. However, since she's a new arrival you should let her rest and settle in to her new environment. Feed her the CGD and keep her temp & humidity in the normal range. She's probably just stressed, the lethargy could be due to this.
Good luck!

Thanks. The chubby doesn't worry me too much...just ganna cut back on her fatty foods (Breeder before put honey in their CGD and gave lots of crickets!!). and ya she's in her tank. Going to let her rest for a few days with minimal or no handling..even though she's extremely hand tame.

I would also add a tiny pinch of calcium to her food to ward off any calcium deficiency.
100% calcium. No Vit. D.

Like crushed up Tums??
If it's 100% calcium, I can't see that it would hurt for a few days.

i used to use crushed up fruit flavored tums as an occasional suplement for an iguana i had when i was younger,( i had read about using them in an iguanna book i borrowed from a friend) it was the only calcium suplement he whould eat when i put it on his veggies.

my new crestie was EXTREMLY tired when i first got her. she would sleep so soundly i would touch her just so i knew she was alive. She looked like a balloon that was deflated.
Pangea has something called fruit mix, you can use it to add to CGD for picky geckos. I use it on occasion as a little treat.
