How much do chahouas usually run for? They look like something I would enjoy keeping.

isle de pines chahoua usually cost more than mainlands.  isle de pines usually start at around 400 bucks and go up from there, ive seen mainlands go for as low as 275, but usually they are around 350-400 also. apparently they have pretty low hatch rates (ive heard from having heavily calcified egg shells, does anyone know if this is correct?), making them more dificult/costly to produce than most other rhacs (besides trachys)

they are definetly on my "to own" list... right after i finally get a leachie that is haha

Do you know anywhere I can buy them from? I would really like to save up for one.

your best bet would be to find a reptile expo/ show near your area. forum classified ads  would be the second best bet. ive never even seen one in a pet shop before haha (actually ive never seen one in person before Cry)

I've seen most between $300-$400. I am considering buying one that is $500, but I'm not sure as it's so much compared to others that I've seen... Definitely a delima.

I haven't see any (mainland or PI) for under $300 recently. And that's for a hatchling. PIs tend to be about $600 for male to $1200 for females. Locally you'll have to seek out breeders or reptile shows. If you are willing to buy online, the usual places have them listed: Kingsnake, Fauna, Repashy forums, Pangea trades etc.

I'm hoping to buy one or two in the next year. Smiley

I ended up not buying that PI, but I bought another one from another guy for $500 plus shipping. I don't see them for sale often.
