Meal worms are too chitinous and have low nutritional value.

Wax worms & other soft-bodied worms are better for them.

I only give worms and crickets once every week or two-as a snack.

Has anyone tried phoenix worms for cresties?
Cham/Beardie breeders seem to love them.

I have tried meal worms, phoenix worms, and wax worms and so far not one of my cresties  has any interest in them whatsoever. the go for crickets right away, but they just dont seem interested in the worms. i think its because the worms dont move around as much so my geckos tend to ignore them.

I would still keep with a steady diet of CGD.  It's complete, easy to use and there's no guess work with the nutritional values.

Crickets, roaches and worms are fine for a once on a while treat, but not a steady diet.
