Hello all, my name is Tricia and I live in Miami, FL. I am new to crested geckos but have kept a few other types of reptiles in the past. Ever since I discovered cresteds last year I have fallen in love with them so I have been doing a lot of research, including browsing the forums here, which I have found to be very useful. So my first crested just arrived yesterday and s/he is beautiful! I am so excited, and already thinking about what other morphs I want to acquire in the future. Since I now officially own one, I figured it is time to join the forums. Looking forward to participating and learning more.

By the way, I am trying to attach a pic of my new baby but it keeps telling me that the file size is too large, even though it is smaller than the limit. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tricia

Welcome to Ciliatus, and welcome to your new addiction!!!   Cheesy

I'm really glad you've been lurking and learning BEFORE you got your new crestie!!!

That's really the best way yo do it.  I did the same thing!!!

As for posting pictures, first you need a photobucket account.  www.photobucket.com

It's free and it's easy to use!!

You load the pictures to the bucket, and then you copy the [img] code that's right under each picture, and past it here on your posting page.  It's that simple!!

I'm sure that in all your reading, you've found out that we're a pretty friendly bunch of people.

Just jump in.  Nobody picks on newbies here, and there's no such thing as a "stupid" question, so just ask away.  We were ALL noobs when we started!!

Can't wait to see your new gecko!!!

Hugs-
Donna

Thanks for the warm welcome and the tips on posting pics! Okay, attaching pictures now.

Here's a good pic of him/her fired up and up close:

A few blurry ones that I took from my phone while he was getting used to his new home. I've seen so many posts on here from people worried about babies not eating right away that I expected him to hang out under the leaves for a while until he gets more comfortable, but the first night I have already seen him eating his CGD and drinking from the water dish. Guess he was hungry!
