 i havent gotten my gecko yet but im just runnin some tests on temps and im from denver with bad windows so my room gets to the low 60s at night even with the heat on..SUCKS..i have a ten gallon with the  screen cage extension on top and my 50 wat bulb gets it up to the low 70s...should i get a small heat pad as well as a 75 watt for the cold months or does anyone have any suggestions??THANKS

I would bump up the wattage on the light to 100 watts.

OR

Instead of getting one of the under-tank heaters, get the old-fashioned heating pads that you plug in and lay on.

BUT-only put it under PART of the tank, so your gecko has a cooler place to go to if it gets too warm.

Either way, frequently check the temps, 'cuz you don't want to bake the little critter.

Make sure you add an extra misting or two during the course of the day to make sure the gecko stays hydrated.

wat wuld be a good temp for the tank if i went with the 100 watt??so basically at wat wuld be too much just so i kno incase i need to get the 75? thanks 4 ur help

Let's put it this way-if the temp would be comfortable to you, it will be comfortable for the geckos, too.

So I'd aim for between 70 & 75 degrees.
