what would u guys recomend in puttin in a humid hide...i got deli cups and read a lot about what works well...but just wanted to hear what has worked for everybody else..thanks for the help

You can either use sphagnum moss from the pet shop or shredded organic sphagnum peat from a garden center.

Make sure there's no dye in the moss and no fertilizers in the peat moss.

I recommend the moss, though, unless you don't mind your kids splashing around in mud puddles.

I  usually take a margarine tub with a lid, cut a hole into the side, and fill it up half way or less-depending on the size of the geckos-with wet peat that's been sort of squeezed out, then I flip it on it's lid and put it in the tank.

They LOVE their mud bath!!  I've actually seen them STOMPING and JUMPING AROUND in the mud through the door hole-like little lids!!!

I usually reserve the moss for my hatching boxes.
