Howdy there folks.  Name's Karl, I'm a 34 year old geek who just recently tumbled into the world of Rhacodactylus, dragging my poor wife along for the ride.  Primarily we keep snakes, but last week we snagged a female Cresty at the local PetSmart.  And yesterday morning, a pair of baby Gargs showed up at my door, courtesy of Fed Ex.

I grew up in Maryland on the Eastern Shore, where I spent many a summer catching fence swifts and five lined skinks for a local pet store to trade for feeder mice and toads.  Never really saw lizards as a pet I'd have in my house until seeing a few pics of the Rhacs over at DarkSideReptiles.  And ye gods, I fell in love with these little guys.

I found this place while poking around for breeders and care sheets on Cresties, and figured why not join the party.  Hopefully there's still some punch and pie left.

I should be in bed, so I'll wrap this up.  Happy to be here and I'll throw pics of the Rhacs up soon.  Or you can zip over to the site in my profile and see all of our critters, including these amazing lizards.

Cheers!

Welcome, Wendiigo!!!

Glad you decided to join Ciliatus!!

You'll find a TON of great people here who are willing to help you learn everything you need to know about our sweet little gecko kids.

I don't know about pie and punch, but if you check the fridge, I'm sure you'll find a couple of bottles of SOMETHING among the shakers of CGD...and of course the occasional "special brownies"!   You never know what somebody will stash in there...Cheesy

If you have any questions, just ask away!!!  We were all noobs at one time, and we're still all learning about Rhacs.  They were only rediscovered recently, so NOBODY knows everything about them!!!  In fact they're just guessing at how long they live!!  A lot of vets are clueless about them, too!!

So no question is silly, and you won't be ridiculed for asking something everyone else asked when they first started.

The search function is always a good place to start, but if you need a human, ask away!!

Again-glad you decided to join us!!

Hugs-
Donna
