Here's the scoop...I'll add more to this a little closer to the time.

How to win
Guess how many egg shells are in container to win first place.  These will be egg shells from every Rhacodactylus gecko we hatched in 2009.

I will provide a picture of the container with shells in it on New Year's Day and then everyone will have an entire month to make their entry.

What if ther'es a tie?
If there is more than one winner, they will vote on whether to split the gift certificate money evenly or have a tie breaker (guess the number of January 2010 egg shells) to narrow it down to one first-place winner.  Do you play it safe and split the prize or do you go for it all and risk losing?  I kinda hope we do have a tie...that could be fun!

Prizes
The first place winner will receive a coupon, which they can use to purchase any gecko(s) they want.  The amount has yet to be determined, but the prize will not include shipping (could get expensive if three people get it right and they decide to split the prize).

A number of runners up will receive other prizes, such as free geckos, supplies, etc.

Fine Print

*No purchase necessary.

*ACReptiles.com and Ciliatus.com hold no responsibility for injuries sustained from jumping, running into stationary objects, falling, tripping, fainting or cursing in front of your mother, when opening the box containing your free geckos.  We recommend sitting down while opening the box.

*Contest only open to US residents or Canadian residents willing to drive to a UPS location in the US.  I like you Europeans, but not that much. lol

*Prizes cannot be transferred, sold or traded.  Someone did this to me once before and it was a nightmare.  That's the main reason why I haven't held another contest in two years.  Bottom line, if you can't just accept a free gecko (or whatever) without making it a pain in the ass, you shouldn't play.  Grin

*Winners have 60 days from February 1, 2009 to claim their prize and arrange for it to be shipped.  After that, the prize will be forfeited and offered to the next runner up.

*Only one entry per person.  Entries must be EMAILED to a specific email address (which will be announced on the day the contest starts).
I see your IP address every time you post...and I can see a record of all the IP addresses that you've ever logged into your account from.  This means there's a good chance I will catch you...and if I do, you will be banned from participating in any future contest!

Things got really crazy for Anthony from Thanksgiving on...with blizzards snowing him in for several day, an INSANE Black Friday sale that ran into January, etc...so I'm assuming that's why the contest never came to be.
