Welcome, Yari!!  My name is Donna.

My great-grandparents were from Italy!!!  In the Calabria region!!  I was in your beautiful country MANY years ago, and want visit again!

Yari doesn't strike me as a very Italian name..it sounds Eastern European to me.  What is your parents' nationality??  I love meeting people of different cultures and nationalities on-line!!

I wish I had learned Italian, but my grandfather didn't speak the language once he left the New York City area.  Cry

Don't worry about English.  You're doing fine, and it's easy to understand you.  Most of the members here are native speakers, but a few of them can't spell or have bad grammar... Shocked

If you want to learn more English, try this website...

http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

You pick the language you want, type in the Italian, and it translates to other languages for you, and you can copy and paste the text to any web page.

It may help you with some of the text here, too.  Just copy and paste into the box, pick English to Italian from the menu, and hit the "Translate" button.

You have a very handsome gecko!!  Does it have a name???  It appears to be a male, but the plant is in the way.   Cheesy

Did you do the artwork around the gecko's picture, and make your avatar??  If so, you draw very well!!!

Anyway-don't feel silly asking questions here.  We're all here to help others learn about their geckos, and we're all very friendly!!

Welcome to Ciliatus, and welcome to your new addiction!!

Hugs-
Donna

I'm with her.... that's too funny!  Of course, I named one of my daughters after a female character in a book I read like 10 years ago (and have NO IDEA what book it even was-I just knew I liked the name "Callan"), so I think your mom did something cool!  Anyways, welcome to the group and we're glad to have you! Cheesy
