Hi, I purchased two plants for my new crested geckos cage, a pachira aquatica aka money tree and a "lucky" bamboo, my question is are these safe plants to put in the cage with my new gecko? If not I would like to hear some safe plants that others might use in a vivarium?

Thanks,
Megara

The Bamboo is fine. I'm not familiar with the Money tree, though.

Any kind of sanseveria-mother-in-law-tongue or hoya-wax plant are fine, too, and very sturdy.

I like the hindu rope hoya, which I tie to the screen to make vines for the geckos to climb and hang from.

I'll scope out the "sanseveria-mother-in-law-tongue or hoya-wax" plants. I really like the sound of vines though! Thank you for the suggestions.

No problem!!!

I take the "ropes" and attach a twist tie to them and guide them to the top screen and poke them through to tie them off.

The hoya IS a wax plant..."hindu rope" is the type of hoya...it's a big "family".

Another similar plant would be a burro's tail sedum.  You can do the same thing with it.

I used to volunteer in a nursery and I love working with plants.
