Well, not me PERSONALLY  Grin, but arachnophobic little me pulled her first egg-case from a mama Pink-toe (A. avicularia) last Friday.  I barely made it through the tug-of-war with the mom without having a heart attack, but once I got the sac and started opening in, my pure excitement overode my fear!  It was SOOO cool to roll these eggs out and find this little fully formed baby wandering around!  This experience has really helped me gain a little control over my arachnophobia.  I can't wait until they molt the next time and actually look like pinktoes (black with pink toes  Grin)!  I'm up to 9 babies (1st instars) as of this morning.

1st baby.
Mama w/ her egg case.

That is the coolest, scariest thing I've ever seen! XD

My emperor scorpions at work had babies and they look very similar, no egg case though. They grow SO fast! What do you do to take care of the babies? Or will mama take care of them for awhile?

Mamas a deadbeat at this point  Wink.  Although, to be fair, I basically mugged her for her egg sac!  After each one molts the next time, they will be pulled from the egg group and separated out.  Then I'll start feeding them!  Roach nymphs and pinhead to 1 week old crickets will be on the menu.  Hopefully they like the roaches 'cause I have those at home.  I'm not really relishing having to sift through 1,000 crickets at a time at work to pick out pinheads!

I've got baby scorpions at work right now too.  Asian forest scorpions.... they're so cute!  They're little pigs, too.  Sounds like they're a tad bigger than yours since mine are beginning to darken up.  I can't believe I ordered them on purpose.  Tongue

I never thought I would think that about a SPIDER, but I do!!
