Somehow my incubator went from the standard 82/84 degrees up to 119 degrees since yesterday!!  ACK!  I've never had a problem like that before... SUCKS.  Luckily I only had three mourning gecko eggs in there, but still.  Oh, well.  Just thought I'd share!   Embarrassed

Really?! I thought joking about eating people's pets (even unborn pets) was like...not ok. (made me laugh though.)

Why incubate an egg that will hatch at room temp?  People do that with cresty eggs too and I never understood it.

I room-temped my first two clutches, and all they did was..... nothing.  My room doesn't stay a constant temperature either.  It bounces anywhere between 65 to 76 depending on whether the thermostat is working or not that day.  I decided to use the incubator just to try something different.  I had a cluch that hatched out a couple weeks ago at room temp, and it took WAY more than 120 days... I had honestly forgotten about them and happened to check my millipedes one day (who were all sitting on top of the old mourning container) and found them.  I always have an incubator running (everything from eggs to tarantulas use it), so I figure I may as well put it to use!
