it looks like the crest on its right side is more developed than the left side too, but that could just be a bad angle in the pic

Thats very interesting... I know in humans when someone has two different colored eyes it can be looked at as a twin within a twin.  In the womb one twin absorbs the other or they don't really fully separate and they have two different genetic codes for eye color.  I wonder if thats even close to what happened here.  I know you had the conjoined twins a little bit ago...  this guy wasn't from the same female or breeding line was it?  If so then maybe the line has an increased chance for twins?  I don't know if this is even close, its just an idea my brain latched onto when I saw the picture.

good question, i dont know which female this one came from, same father, i have them in 1.3. groups. the hatchmate has the same colored eyes. when this one hatched i seen it but thing it was bloodshot, after more then 6weeks, still their..

I got curious and started to look up some articles and I found one that seemed to cover all the different factors that could influence different colored eyes. Most just talk about melanin production only but this one had a couple different explanations.
