As indicated by the title (DUH!), I found my first mourning gecko hatchling this morning!  I knew they were gonna be small, but, CRAP!  They're TINY!  I should have a clutchmate soon, too.  A couple pics for 'ya......

Thanks, guys!  They're sure cute little buggers!  And to Julie.... after I lost my first clutch of eggs, I decided to try actually incubating them.  It took about 65 days at 84-ish degrees, and VOILA!  I've got another clutch in there, too.  Unfortunately, another clutch was just laid---- on the side of the container where there's a ridge that makes it virtually impossible to cover, and literally impossible for removing to the incubator!  Oh, well... I s'pose there's more where those came from?  Undecided

PS: the clutchmate hatched a couple hours after this one... just as cute, and even a bit smaller! Cheesy

get those fruitflies crankin.  I have a bunch of lined day geckos.  Just wee bit smaller than that when they hatch.  Fun! I just hate raising the fruitflies to feed them.   Tongue  Easy but just a nuisance.

My roach hatchlings are perfectly sized for them, but lucky for me, they actually mainly eat the CGD. as soon as I see the first poop particles I'll try the bugs!

Okay, so update.....................

To firecrested and Julie:  might I suggest that when you get hatchlings, you immediately place them in a hermetically sealed container (oxygen is overrated!)? They got out the second night.... and (I'm not kidding!) I still have NO IDEA HOW! Angry  There's no way it was through the ventilation holes, but there's equally no way it was under the lid!  There is obviously a flaw with that statement, seeing as they most certainly are not there anymore!  Roll Eyes  I'm thinking a deli cup with a paper mesh circle glued over holes in the lid (like you commonly get pinhead crickets in) for the next group.  I can't tell you how unbelievably disappointed I am!
