I have a clutch of eggs where one hatched out two nights ago and the other still has not hatched.  Last night I looked closely at the other egg and it is cracked on the end and the contents are starting to ooze out.  I left it alone because I thought it would hatch during the night, but it hasn't.  I really don't know what to do other than leave it alone and hope that it hatches.  Any input is appreciated.  Thanks!!

When you say cracked do you mean where the gecko cut the egg open on one end?  If that is what you mean, the gecko probably could not get out.  That happens to mine a few times a year.  The gecko usually dies in the egg if you dont get to it in time.

Does it feel deflated?  If it does I would probably cut it open with scissors.

Yeah, it was pretty deflated.  I got it open, but I think he's already dead.  It was only the females second clutch and the egg shells looked awfully thick compared to the eggs that my other females lay.  Thanks for the input though!!

That usually happens if you dont catch it in the first few hours, they usually drown.  I saw one hatch last year and the other egg had nothing going on. A few hours later the egg was cut and I finished it the rest of the way & the baby was already dead.

Usually i don't bother trying to cut them open because when you do they drown a lot of the time as well.  They can't all make it, but I know its a little sad when they don't.
