I buy 4 lb bags of cgd becuase the next size down, 2 lbs, dont last long enough. However, I think that my last batch has started to go bad, I had a brand new bottle of cgd and fed it and my geckos ate it up right away where the my 4lb bag that has been open for about 4 months now they dont go after it right away. Now if it was one I would say ok it was just hungry but it was more like half out of 28 hatchlings or juvies. I was just wondering if anyone put theirs in the fridge after opening that bag and if so have you noticed that this extends the life of it. Thanks in advance for any information.

Yes, I keep mine in the fridge, and not only from experience, I just know that things like that do last longer.  It's actually better to keep all that type of stuff in the fridge.  Any calcium powder, vitamins, cricket food, anything of that nature is just better off in the fridge because after so long it actually is no good, even though there's really no way to tell with something like calcium dust and such.  I don't know how I know this, I just do for some reason.

I keep all my ICB and CGD in the fridge with a bag clip on it so it is sealed all the way.  2lbs. doesn't last long with my brood maybe 6 months, but it does stay fresher,
