The gecko will eventually eat the cgd unless there is something wrong with it.  It's not going to starve itself.  I wouldn't add baby food or anything to the mixture, just keep putting it in there and it will eat it.  Personally, I have never had a problem getting my geckos to eat the cgd, they always eat it.

i have seen where geckos will not eat it and were only eatting crickets......they didnt look to good, so they started supplementing banana baby food with calcium and other stuff, the gecko didnt die but did look bad until they got it to eat something more then crickets

Try putting some on your finger and putting it on the tip of it's nose and getting it to lick it off.  That usually gets them to eat it sooner by getting them a taste.

I just mix with water and put it in.  They will eventualy eat it and all the finger feeding and puting other stuff in it just prolongs them from learning on their own it is their food and they have to eat it.  I know for my most stubborn ones a few drops of honey did the trick and slowly you can reduce the amount you put in until you don't have to use any, but I use that even as a last resort after about a month of few fecals, untouched bowls, and weightloss.

I have to disagree with the finger feeding, if you only do it a couple of times, they will get the taste and look for it on their own in their cage. I wouldn't add anything else to it though.

you could always try dusting a few crix with the cgd this associates the smell and taste with food items it recognises and should help them to switch over to just cgd a bit faster Smiley
