How exactly can you tell if your female is a hot female?

Mine has been showing aggression towards my male, but I am not sure if that is because they are newly introduced or if she actually is a hot female.  They have been together for a week now.

When I went to feed my female she attacked my male who is really docile.  My male will not touch crickets, he only eats mealworms and mealworms alone, won't touch anything else.  But I am unsure if she was competing for the food or if she is just being aggressive towards the male.

They both share the same hide when they sleep and get along fine in there, but when he approaches her outside of the hide she will warm him.

Not to be offtopic, but meal worms exoskeletons are a little hard to digest for cresteds and have been known to cause impaction so be careful and do feed CGD especially since it looks like your are trying to breed.  Now what do you consider aggression?  They do play fight and the only time I separate is when i SEE battle wounds.  Sometimes they need a few weeks to settle in so don't be too worried and give them a chance on the proper diet of course.  If it isn't a go try a different male- us ladies do discriminate and maybe she is just not that into him, lol!!

Just keep an eye on them, if you see any bad wounds on the male, you will probably want to seperate them.  Are you feeding CGD? As stated above, it's not a good idea to feed mealworms to these guys, just feed the CGD if he won't eat mealworms.  They WILL eat the CGD, maybe not instantly, but they will eat it when they get hungry enough, they aren't going to starve themselves unless something is wrong with them to start out with.

Sorry forgot to mention that they are leopard geckos, not cresteds

The female will grab the male if he is anywhere near her while she is feeding, but he will not be moving, just sitting there.

Male is 89grams and the female is 60grams, but are the same in size, just that the male is longer

Are they both eating and behaving normally other than these nips?

Yes, it just seems as if the female is being overly aggressive towards the male.  The tank is large enough for the two of them as well.
