How big is that exo? I just bought a "rainforest kit" which was a 18x18x24 with vines, plastic plants (hanging and ground), canopy lighting, substrate media, water dish, hygrometer, thermometer, for $159CAN brand new

No that is not a good deal. You can get a new exoterra for 60-70 bucks and a tailess buckskin crested for 20-30 or even free.

Unless you were to get it online, you not going to get any Crested for 20-30 unless you get lucky and find a breeder or something close by, and if you get it online, your talking about another 30-40 shipping. Depending on the size of the exo terra, they range in price quite a bit. Either way, most likely it's not a great deal unless it's a huge exo terra.

Agreed... I think it depends on the size of the Exo-Terra.
PS: Where abouts do you live?

I;m not sure on the size. wasn't huge but not small, kinda like a 15gal, on it's side,
and I live in kenosha Wisconsin, The crested there was the first I'd seen and kinda feel in love with it.
There aren't any breeders around here I know of.

Well, it's not really a bad price, it's just not a great price... Nothing you would want to jump all over... But if you like the gecko and everything, grab it, it's a fairly normal pet store price.

That would be the medium exo terra 12x12x18. Retails for around 65 bucks. So it would depend on what the gecko looks like. for that $85 dollars you'd be better off getting something from a breeder where you would have a few choices.

I think you are in a great area full of breeders who would give you a real nice crestie for less than $85. If you need references I know a few!!
