I know that cresties are at least a big pain to predict which traits are passed to offsprings, but there are still a few traits you can expect to see based on the parents (ie. color is a crap-shoot, but dalmatian spots almost always show up if one of the parents have them).

Do any garg breeders see trends? In other words, are striped or retic offsprings more likely from a mixed pairing? Is color still a crap-shoot?

The rhac book says:
retic X retic= 100% retic
striped x retic = about 50% retic 50% striped
striped X striped= either 100% striped OR 75% striped and 25% retic

I'm pretty sure color is just like with cresteds.  If you have a pair of reds, you have a good chance of getting a red, but then you have to look at the grandparents and what not.  Don't quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure that's the case.
