LOL.. Just inherited a young adult male. He's nice. Was not going to get into the balls but the genetics is kinda interesting so I guess I'll shop for a spider pattern. Evidently mating that to a pastel gives you bumble bees and Like the bumble bees!!

There's so many varieties. I love the ivorys and have always thought the pieds are cool. Guess I am taking the snake breeding thing into a different direction than originally planned. Ball pythons were not on the menu. I wanted to do mandarin rats and bamboo rats and albino hondo milks. SOOO I guess I'll just make the snake rack a little bigger. I think I have some explaining to do when I here "Hey babe -- why are there so many different sized rats n mice in our freezer? I though you said those sandboas only eat things no larger than a mouse. " UUUHMMM --- don't go in the reptile room there aren't more snakes in there than you ever wanted in the house --

Kid -
Parents are nothing!! Try dealing with a unhappy spouse. THAT is the real challenge. The secret is (and Lance you may want to key in on this little tip) Make sure your spouse has a hobby too. Then when they buy things -- and I encourage you t encourage them to do so -- for their hobby you have a window to get the things you like for your hobby
.
Now for the parent thing -- well sometimes yer lucky and sometimes you just have to wait until you are on your own.

I thank my lucky stars every day that my husband is just as reptile obsessed as I am. Now, coercing him into looking at my work (I'm a Medical Illustrator and he has noooo desire what-so-ever to see the inner workings of the body, especially surgical procedures) is another story. Have to keep things interesting somehow I suppose...

I can watch most surgeries and not even wince, but when they are being done "down there", it's all I can do to remain upright and conscious.

I cant wait to move into a bigger place so that I can finally have a reptile room. It is a little crowded in my room now with all my stuff, 42 cresteds, a jungle carpet python, and a leopard gecko. Lucky my room is decent size, cant tell though cause everywhere you look there is cages.
