Is the 12x12x18 exo-terra cage alright for a single adult crested gecko?  I am just curious because I can build my own, but for the same price I can get an 12x12x18 exo-terra.

Right now my female adult is in a 12 cube exo-terra and seems to like it a lot more than the larger tank that I built for her, but I have 3 juvies coming along and for now they are fine in the kitter keepers, but I am wondering if I should get the 12x12x18 exo-terra or if I should get an 18x18x24 exo-terra.  The only thing is that I will be housing all my cresties alone, unless they are to be breed.

If the 12x12x18 exo-terra is fine for a single adult then I will probably get one around Christmas for my female and move my largest juvie over to the 12x12x12 exo-terra.

I find the 12x12x18's to work pretty good. I have 6 of them for the geckos I bred. The bigger exo-terra would be good if you have the extra money to spoil on your geckos though. The more room they can jump the better. And you know how faar they can jump! I would say they'll be ok and then for the ones you breed you might want a bigger one. They are expensive but as you know any size exo-terra is just an awesome tank. Just get them while you can because I think they are only going to be selling them as a "kit" now, in which they make you get a light and a few other things. (which raises the price even higher) Good luck with your housing. I always try to move geckos up as I find the money so just do what you can.

I've got a 30 gallon aquarium that I plan to use for breeding.  But the breeding project is still a ways off yet.  I am just getting my female to over 30 grams this past month, she was feed on baby food and crickets.  She has never really been all that big since I got her in June around the age of 2 yrs.  I got her switched over to CGD and she loves the strawberry flavour, where as my other 3 juvies from Anthony do not favour the strawberry, but really enjoy the rose.
