Hey, guys! I'm in a time crunch and am looking for any quick opinions on lygodactylus williamsi (williams blue dwarf gecko). Anyone with any experience?  Diet seems close to cresteds and my mourning geckos, and with the exception of UVB light the care seems about the same.

Thinking about getting a couple as a possible project....

Thanks!

Same care as a phelsuma actually.  Now is a pretty good time to get them  The prices has dropped in the past few months from $1,000 a pair to as little as $200 shipped.  This is what happens when you flood the market with these things.  They very pretty animals.  IMO if I were going for some cool geckos I would spend a little extra and check out the gonatodes types.  Very striking geckos.    Williamsii are a good and fairly inexpensive project to get into.

Thanks for the mention of the gonatodes, honuman.  I did a quick google search and you're right...the variety and colors are so neat!  I got lucky with my williamsi, and paid less than 50% of your low-ball price.  I just thought they'd be a little different.  I really don't want to get into anything that requires heat/uvb more than I've already got, though.  These little guys LOVE to bask!

I ordered a pair, but I'm pretty sure I got two males.   Angry  I know they're dimorphic, and just looking at color only they look like a pair, but when you flip 'em over there are slight hemipenal bulges and pre-anal pores on both.  I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

You may have a Juvie male and adult male.  Just wait and see if the "female" fires up to that electric blue color.  If so females are out there and are fairly inexpensive.

I figured that's what happened....but the green one is bigger than the blue, and fatter, too.  Just like anything else, I would think that they could develop at different rates, though.  Another option:  I could be WRONG!  After all, I've never dealt with these little guys, so I have no experience to go with my opinion or observations.  Again....will have to wait and see!
