I'm Katy, I'm 26, and I got my first R. ciliatus about 3 months ago - it was maybe 3" long...shortly after, I traded some tarantulas for its sibling.  I have since learned how to sex them under magnification and I now know that they are male and female.  Smiley  I have recently purchased two more babies from another friend.  I'm very proud of my little family of 4 geckos.

I also raise and collect tarantulas and have around 150 of them.  That's my first passion.

I used to ride horses professionally and have trained with 2 olympians.

So, here's me:

And here are my cresties:

150 Ts? That's awesome! Let me know if/when you've got any for sale.  Grin

Nice geckos, too. I love the color of the one in the right in the first picture.

He's an Andalusian, and unfortunately, he wasn't mine.  heh  I used to ride for money. Wink  Rode a lot of nice horses that way.  That particular horse belonged to Medieval Times, and he knew all the Grand Prix tricks.

I also used to event, though!  I rode preliminary and had a crazy swedish warmblood that trusted me fully, but was SO sensitive that she was prone to random freak-outs.

Oh wow!  I was at the training level when I had to stop (doctor's orders, which was a bummer).  I had a little quarter horse that I retrained... she had been badly abused before she came to the stable where I rode.  She didn't look like your typical eventer but man, could she power over fences.  Do you have any photos of your warmblood?  I'd love to see some...

Yeah, I sure do, but just dressage pics.  She was not registered anything, but her mom was Swedish WB and her dad was Appendix QH, so I guess she'd technically be an American Warmblood...if her dad was TB, she could be registered Swedish.  Anyway, I don't really know how all that crap works.

She was an ivory champagne, which is a dilution of chestnut.  She had pink skin and freckles.

Here's a dressage show - we did training level.  Notice how far forward my leg is...lol I NEVER could put leg on that horse, and I could barely sit on her.  She was inclined to flip out.

I wish I had pics of jumping, but I never had money to buy show pics.  Sad  We showed prelim ONCE and it was the highlight of my riding career even though we didn't place and her dressage test was garbage.  We showed novice for 2 years, then training for one.  Went to 4 dressage shows, one novice, three training.  She did okay - never freaked at a show.  haha

Wow!! She is gorgeous.  I spent two years riding in schooling shows (it took a long, long time to bring my horse around... she was so badly abused but once I gained her trust we were an awesome team).  At those schooling shows, especially the first year, I was generally the rider who was getting bucked off or dumped in the water complex.  I'll need to scan some photos to post.  My horse (Wisher) was an extremely light grey with the cutest dapples all over her sides.  Ahh.... I miss riding.

Oh, dear God....your warmblood is BEAUTIFUL!  I did hunt/jump when I was younger and always wanted a warmblood.  I have a little (in heighth, maybe-she's like straddling a table with attitude!) registered buckskin QH that I got when she was 5 months old.  She lives an hour and a half away from me now, but I still get to ride when we visit the in-laws!  I miss riding regularly.  Sad

Oh, yeah...and welcome to the group!  Smiley
