i've never produced babies of my own, so i bought a younger gecko to see how things go first hand. so far he/she likes to jump, a lot.Roll Eyes? i'm curious about around what age i should be expected to see the final colors of him/her. and also when i should know if it's female/male. i've seen plenty to know about what size they will be when they start start showing, but i'm ancy and want to count down months.? Cheesy
i will be on the road to having some eggs of my own any week here. keep your fingers crossed, i dropped the last ones.?

from what i have recently asked on another forum, 8-10 months should be the final coloration and if the gecko is male, he will exhibit hemipenile bulges near the rear end. males can show bulges from  5 months to up to a year or more, but if you can see preanal pores near that, then you probably have a male. females are tricky. it's mostly a waiting game. good luck.

It can be up to 12-14 months before it reaches it's adult colors.  You should start getting a good idea around 6-8 months.
