Hi,

I have my eye on two of Anthony's cresties and, I just wanted ask several questions...

I suppose the cresties he sells are babies, so what substrate should I use for them? I plan on keeping them in a 20 gallon high. What should I use for decorations? I also would appreciate any tips.

thank you! Cheesy

I like to keep mine on zoomeds carpet liner and love it. I would also recommend to keep a close eye on them in that size of a cage and make sure they are getting enough to eat. I like exoterras fake vines-the most realistic looking ones that I have seen. Anthony has some amazing geckos and I have had only positive experiences buying cresteds from him.

You can use that tank as an adult but it might be too big for the gecko you get. AC generally sells them pretty young but they all start eating right away for me and I have had no problems. Just keep an eye on him like Travis said. I have 35 cresty and only 1 of them is on substrate. The other ones all have paper towels. I wouldn't take chances with the way my geckos like to dive bomb thier food, getting any stuck in the throat would suck. I have been fortunate up to this point to not have any deaths in my crestys (besides this one I tryed to rescue and I thought oh I'll throw him in this subsrate). He had alot of it stuck in his mouth that night ..... I tryed holding him and getting it out but I found him dead the next morning... I think if you get the Rhacodactylus book it will answer most of your questions. I have every crested book they made (except the hard cover out of print one). Good luck on your journey into crestys.
