Hi,

Does the complete (standard) CGD have all the neccessary to add calcium or other stuff? Or does it have EVERYTHING? Will they be healthy only on the CGD does it have enough of the vitamins and calcium for them?

Thanks! Wink

It's a COMPLETE meal replacement.

Some people alternate worms or crickets a couple days a weeks, and these should be dusted with calcium

Otherwise, if you use the CGD, you need nothing else.

I've got another question to add (hope the OP doesn't mind). I don't plan on feeding crickets much at all, maybe a few times a month. However, is the calcum supplement with D3 or not? I currently dust with calcium containg D3 to my other reptiles, but if straight calcium is best for my Crested I'll buy that as well.

So it includes all the vitamins and supplements?

Also how many table spoons of liquid food do you get from 1 pound of dry CGD?

Feeding 26 geckos and using 1tbsp.+ 1tsp. dry/night (6-7 nights/week) my one pound bag lasted me 5 weeks.

...and unless you have laying females (and they are actually low), I wouldn't add any calcium to the mix.

i have somewhere around 100 geckos (i honestly haven't counted   Tongue)
at least 40 are breeding adults, probably anohter 10 single adults...

i used 6 tbsp powder with 13 tbsp warm water each feeding night. towrds the end of the season i will offer dusted crickets and other extra calcium boosters for the females who have been laying. other then that, CGD with nothing added.
