Chahoua - Soldier
«
on:

I wanted to give Soldier a special name due to his camouflage coloration. There are a lot of different views regarding our military...and war. The bottom line is, that these men and women are someone else's husband or wife / father or mother / brother or sister / or child. It's our duty to support them regardless of political view. They are out there on our behalf...fighting for our country and ever ready to fight for our freedom.
I think I like the Chahouas the most of the Rhac species. They are so sweet and loveable! I only have the one PI male, but hope to one day bring home a PI female for him.

Thanks guys! I actually got a really good deal on him as I purchased him with the gargoyles. I'd like to try breeding them someday but that's a project quite a while off, lol. *sigh*

Nice chahoua, Dorothy!? I have a couple myself and I think they're great...very people friendly.? ?They're not overly prolific, but you have to try breeding them just so you have a chance of seing a baby do the infamous "chahoua cannonball".? ?When they get scared, they'll jump and then curl up into a ball and fall onto the floor...they roll to a stop and then just stay there, motionless.
It has to rank right up there with seeing a hognose snake roll over and play dead.?

Oh my goodness, how totally funny! I've never even heard of that before! Lol...now that would be something to see! I would love to breed them sometime down the road, but it will be a while. Too many other projects going right now to prioritize a female.

I think he was saying soldier/crestie, his chahoua named sodier and crestie hybrid. At least that's what it looked like to me.

I have to tell you Dorothy, that the first time I saw a picture of Soldier, it was love at first sight with Chahouas. I have one baby now and plan on getting more VERY soon. Cannot wait!

No... on her website, Cicada Hollow said she was going to hybridize Soldier with a crested gecko, and I have never seen one before, and I would like to see one.

I have the girl she had paired with him. She never layed eggs, but may have retained sperm from him. If she does lay, I'll know, and will post pics as soon as they hatch! I sure hope so!!!

Hey, I might be getting a Chahoua soon... What is better for them, Crested diet, or Gargoyle diet?

Does anybody have any idea if one is better to feed to Chahouas than the other?
