I got this one at the show Saturday in a trade. I was just going to sell her but these are really fun snakes
. Never thought I would keep Retics but I'm working on a trade to pick up a male at the next show so I will have a 1.1 pair
She's still small, around 3 feet.

Wow thats a big snake. Im pretty sure Manhattan, Ks has a law that is suppose to not allow any snake that gets over like 5', however I think that is the most unenforced law of all time haha.

Yea, they can get big, that's the only thing bad about them unless you get the dwarfs. I picked up more but as they grow I'll probably sell off a few and keep the best looking ones so i dont have a huge food bill
I'm not sure on the KS laws but I know there are some states that make you get a permit for these, luckily our state doesnt have that law...yet.
This is the newest ones. They're not nearly as friendly as the first one
. Nasty little babies.
male tiger het for albino
female tiger het albino. I have to taker her back and get a new one. She looked ok when I bought her but she has a kink in the middle of her back and a small one on her tail
Too bad, she is really light colored in person. You can see how her tail flips over from the kink. Weird, it wasnt doing that until I got home with her.
normal female het albino
normal pair
and this is the same one i posted first. She has gotten a lot bigger since i brought her home and super tame
She was eating rat pups now she's eating small adult rats after a month.
her now
first day here

Geez...I forgot how quickly they grow! I'm about to switch one of my customers up to small rats off of pups in about a week, and that's also been after about 4 weeks. Amazing growth rate, and the pics are awesome. They seem to like the camera!

Thanks. The big tiger is going to be moved up to bigger rats soon. The small adult rats arent showing much of a bulge anymore after she eats them.

If you don't have any big 'uns yet, what do you plan on feeding them? If you do, same questions! Do you have a large rabbit supplier? Come to think of it, can you buy large frozen feeder items online? Many of my customers with large snakes have a really hard time finding reliable sources. Even jumbo rats are hard for me to get.

There is a flea market about 20 minutes away that sells farm animals, lots of pigs, rabbits, goats and chickens. I can get rabbits there for $5, not sure how much the pigs are. My grandparents also breed rabbits and sell to pet stores but they dont like to give me many because they know what I want them for.

$5 is a great price for a good feeder rabbit! I usually tell people in this area to try and locate a rabbit breeder that regularly culls their unsuitable bunnies and try to buy from them. Petsmart won't sell feeder anything, and our Petcos here won't if they know what it's for, so we tend to be feeder central for people. We keep rodent colonies, so generally always have pinks/pups on up, but rabbits and pigs are hard.
lol about your granparents! I won't sell our bunnies or pigs for feeders simply because snake people don't need to buy supplies, so it cuts into the stores profits!
