Why isn't it a harlequin?

she is GORGEOUS!!   Shocked  i think she is *not* a harley because she does not have pattern on the upper lateral.  if you look in the rhac book, the side of a crestie is divided laterally into two parts, upper and lower.  this female has lots of pattern on the lower lateral, but not on the upper lateral.  she also has very little pattern on her limbs.  the definition of a harlequin is to have patterning on both the upper and lower lateral as well as significant patterning on the limbs.

this female is really a beauty, i love her coloring, and her dorsal is really nice.

Thanks for the clarification...I thought patterning on the sides AND limbs was the makings of a harlequin.  I didn't realize it was patterning above the lateral line that made the difference!

it's going to be a little different person to person. even if the upper laterals was patterned, the gecko above does not have enough patterning on the legs to be a harli IMO.
like dalmations, geckos with only a few spots are usually not called dalmations.

Wow thats an awesome looking gecko with lots going for her. I would agree with the olive/flame with spots. That pairing is going to produce some great looking olives for you in my opinion.
