I was just wondering, are gargoyles bred just like cresteds? You just put them together when they're up to size?  I've kept them but just for pets but never tried breeding them.

It's been so long since I read my Rhac book that I forgot and now I cant find it.

It took mine longer to mature than CG. They grew fast were big enough to breed just needed alittle longer to mature.

yes gargs breed just like cresteds. but are a little more fun to have around i think. if they only didnt like tails so much.lol

I like to have them a bit bigger than the cresties, I breed the cresteds at 35g and goyles at 40g-45g, but that is just me Smiley

I cant wait to start breeding them.  I had a nice adult striped pair once but sold them when I got out of geckos a year or two ago Sad

what crazy bug bit you to make you get out of geckos? i think geckos are the best lizard around, and alway looking for new and different ones to work with.

It was the stupid bug. 

I got out of them to keep more snakes.  And now i have only 2 snakes and around 30 geckos  Tongue

In my experience the only difference as far as breeding the gargoyles is the compatibility of the males with females and females with females.
It requires a bit more care and oversight when introducing geckos together. Most of the time they get along, but occasionally problems arise, especially between multiple females.
After I put gargoyles together, I monitor their weight and condition very carefully for the duration that they are together. Any signs of dramatic weight loss, or scarring is a big red flag.
