Whoa! Weird. I've seen lots and lots of my females doing that, but never a male. I wonder if you have a gender-confused roach there.  Wink

Wow, don't know anything about them but seems kinda weird to me...how big do they get as adults? they seem kinda large for a crested..

Are you sure you have dubia and not a hybrid?  Orange heads are also live bearing, I think, and the females look similar to male dubias.

That would be a Blaberus Discoidalis I believe.
Discoid roaches are not as easy to tell apart. Males have striped undersides, females are solid, females are larger, but both have wings.
I have written a basic article about the species I have kept, I will post it in this forum.
