I recently got 3 whites tree frogs. I bought an 18x18x18 exo terra for them. I am now wishing I had gone with a bigger tank. I am planning on saving up and having enough to get a new one by the time they get bigger. I'd like to give the tank I have now to my mom to keep in her classroom. Can anyone recommend a smaller tree frog that would be able to go weekends without being misted?

Maybe a few fire belly toads....I'm pretty sure if you leave a nice big bowl of fresh water for them to go in for over the weekend they'll be find but i would deffently look that up im not positive, i havent kept them in a few years. I used to have a very simple set up and it worked very well. I just had gravel  as the substrate with some moss in a corner of the tank and then a tubbaware(low to the ground so they could hop in) with fresh water every few days. They would eat small crickets every few days and were very hardy. I gave mine to a friend that wanted them but they were very easy to keep. You could set up a lot nicer tank if you wanted to but that would just be a basic one. Grin

Gray Treefrogs or Green treefrogs barkers These are all interesting little creatures that are fairly hardy and would be good for the classroom

i have 3 fire bellied toads in my classroom.  they do fine since half of the cage is water.  i mist very well on friday, and pour water in on the substrate... have vines in there and plants.    they are good pets because they are active during the day, and the kids love it.
